2019 Summer Book Club Registration Open!
My Book Buddy has officially opened registration for its Annual 2019 Summer Book Club! Here are the details:
Duration: 3 Monthly Meetings
Dates/Times:
1) June 8th from 10am to 11am
2) July 13th from 10am to 11am
3) August 10th from 10am to 11am
Location: Southfield Location (limited to first 20 members to register) or Google Hangouts Conferencing (for all virtual members outside of the Southfield area)
Member Price: $21 per child (includes book (and shipping for virtual members) and coverage of club materials for all 3 meetings) EARLY BIRD Registration ends on February 28, 2019. EARLY BIRD Members will be able to vote on this year's read...Register soon!
Our Book Club is for boys and girls ages 8 to 14. Here's what you can expect as a member:
Complete 1 age appropriate Summer Read over 3 month meeting period (pick-up during first meeting)
Open group discussions to help with story comprehension, interpretation and prediction
Fun and engaging activities (i.e. Icebreaker, Act It Out - Show us how the story goes!, Character Dress-up, Be The Author - Write your on twist on the story!, Taste The Story - Let's engage your taste buds!, and Movie Clips if the book has an associated movie) *Activities are adjusted to fit age group as needed
Book Club Package shipment to all virtual members
